House Leaders

President, Jon Lechliter | Hailing from Winter Park (Orlando, FL), but originally from the heartland of America - Kansas, Jon is a second semester junior who started college at age sixteen dual enrolling part-time before coming to King’s. AKA “The Computer Man”, for technical problems or help he is the go-to guy. He also lived overseas in Singapore for four years and was home schooled.

Scholar, David Lapp | A sophomore from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, David is particularly fond of the college enterprise. He delights in Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings and counts C.S. Lewis's Mere Christianity as a formative influence on his life. It would bring him great joy to be able to impart the love of wisdom into students someday as a professor of "the love of wisdom" (philosophy).

Vicar, Josh Staton | Age 20, Josh is a junior from Nashville, Tennessee. He is a Philosophy, Politics, and Economics major. Josh is an urban explorer and hopes to plant churches in strategic cities around the world. Josh also loves reading, travel, coffee, and the arts.

Chamberlain, Ricky Maupin | A fourth year Senior from Little Rock, Arkansas, Ricky loves football and any other sport, he is known around campus for his ability to run faster and jump higher to catch a frisbee than anyone else. He also leads a small prayer meeting every Tuesday night. He is a PPE major graduating in May.

Helmsman, Matt Lind | A sophomore from Northern VA (the D.C. Metro area), Matt loves superheros and eating ice cream as an entire meal. As a business major he currently is the TA for Dawn Fotopulos, the Assistant Professor of Business. Matt is also an orchid enthusiast specializing in the Vanilla Orchid, and he happens to be a liason. He loves reading and teaching the Word any chance he gets.

Associate Helmsman, Tim Thompson | A sophomore from Orlando, Florida, Tim is privileged to live in New York City where he is able to take part in classes at King's, to be a part of a growing Church movement, and to interract in communities of both believers and non-believers around the city. Tim "The Tiger" loves playing guitar, and just hanging out with people. He is a PP&E major, most likely with an emphesis in Theology.

Faculty Advisor, Dr. Robert Jackson | Dr. J was born and bred in the Midwest (Iowa, Wisconsin, and Illinois), spent a dozen years in the Sunshine State, and has been living in New York with his wife, Heidi, and their two young children—Anna, 5 and Zachary, 3—for the past six years. Dr. Jackson completed his college education in Florida and earned his Ph.D. from Florida State University—“Go Seminoles!” Dr. Jackson is an assistant professor of English and Education, and he also serves as the chairman of TKC’s Academic Affairs Committee. He enjoys good stories (with good coffee), cultural analysis, music, poetry, and exploration of the great outdoors (with his family and friends)—not necessarily in that order. You can tune in to his latest lecture-broadcast in a classroom near you.

Student Development Advisor, David Leedy | David is originally from Indianapolis, Indiana, which makes him a Hoosier (whatever that is). He is the Director of Student Life at King’s, providing oversight to spiritual and leadership development strategies for the student body. He graduated in 1988 from Indiana University with a degree in Speech Communication. He also earned a Master of Divinity from Trinity International University in Deerfield, IL. He has been married to his wife Kathy (Chief of Staff at King’s) for seven years, whom he really looks up to (she’s 3 inches taller!). In his free time (whatever that is), he loves to do biathlons with Kathy, travel, run and eat. Every summer, they make it a point to climb at least one of the 14,000+ foot peaks of the Rocky Mountains. They have eight little ones at home… plants that is. He also loves to sing, but sounds like a toad with cancer when he does—except of course when singing to his wonderful, tall wife.
